Tired? Call Jesus

Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7) We are overwhelmed sometimes, with the rush of life and keeping up with schedules, work, worries of the day, exhaustion, weariness, sleeplessness, constant tiredness. We all experience it. Take a cue from Jesus Himself, who is oftentimes noted in scripture as resting, napping, getting away by himself to pray or re-energize. The same is true for us. We need to take time out to rest, to nourish ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you don’t, everything you try to do will almost always be poorly done and we will never be a resource to others. Sometimes, what you need to do is - rest & of...

The Only You there is - is You

I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this (Psalm 139:14) I’m sure it happens to a lot of people when they want to embark on a project or start some initiative or even when they want to give their opinion on a particular subject matter - They think; I probably shouldn’t do this or there is no point in me saying this. Maybe because there is a ‘I don’t think I’m good enough’ complex or ‘I don’t think my contribution would make any difference’ rationale or ‘I’m a little late to the party’ because all my ideas have already been executed by a lot of other people; Not from...

The Message Is Forgiveness

Today, we want to talk to you about forgiving someone who isn’t sorry - More like accepting an apology you never received. Father forgive them for they know not what they do ( Luke 23:34) The basis of our salvation is forgiveness that we received before we even knew that we needed it. If we access the situation of the thieves crucified beside Jesus- one accepted forgiveness that had already been given to him and the other did not but what we can agree on is that for the ‘bad thief’, it was all on him not on Jesus - because Jesus, did his part and so must we. I’m sure Jesus wasn’t angry at the bad thief, but he...

BAB Says NO to Abuse Against Women!

All forms of violence are considered an offense against God and against humanity. The Bible is full of condemnations of violence and in fact, violence is associated with wickedness and described as ‘detested by the Lord’ (Psalm 11:5). In particular, violence against women is condemned and in the Jewish law even, rape was viewed as equivalent to murder ( Deut 22: 25-27) Rape deeply wounds the respect, freedom, physical and moral integrity to which every person has a right. It does injury to justice and charity and is always an intrinsically evil act. It is heartbreaking really that this oppression of women in the form of ‘rape’ and all other forms of social injustice is still so much an epidemic...

Answered Prayers

And I say to you ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you (Luke 11:9). For it to be said that prayers are answered, prayers have to be prayed. So, the first thing is to pray. God hears all our prayers and, in one sense, he answers all our prayers just not always in the way we want. So, that sometimes, God doesn’t give us what we want doesn’t mean our prayers aren’t answered. In fact, No is an answer and when God says No, it is not because he wants to deny us anything but because that is what is best for us at the time....
