Love People First!

A great man once said ‘If you have an ardent desire for God  you will steer clear of the mediocrity and conformism so widespread in our society’
Of course, you know that there is so much conformism in our society these days. People legit follow the bandwagon and go with the flow even at the expense of their faith. But we can’t let that happen to us because if we are serious about keeping and living out our relationship with God. We cannot be conformists or mediocre.

Jesus himself said this ‘Do you think I have come to bring peace to the earth?’ Essentially, what He wants us to understand is that if you choose to follow Him, there would be people who won’t be supportive of what you do, there would be people who would propagate agendas that are different from your own ideals and you cannot afford to conform. We also can’t be mediocre and do the barest minimum. We must be as fully Christians as much as possible. Only the best for God - To the highest possible standards.

The peace Christ promises us isn’t the absence of antagonism or the peace that comes from everyone being accepting of all that you do. The peace Christ promises us is that which is internal. The peace which exists regardless of whatever external antagonism or disturbance we may encounter.

Now, this does not mean that one should communicate what we know to be true in a distasteful or derogatory manner but we need to be very prudent in our approach.
Love people first! Our basis for correcting or exposing people to the truth should be out of genuine love for them & genuine care and concern about their eternity.
Of course, we cannot afford to compromise on the integrity of the truth but we can communicate it without being brash or arrogant! - Christ communicated the truth to us in it’s entirety with every bit of it’s integrity, very powerfully and wholesome my but still very subtly without arrogance or condescension but rather, with a lot of love. - & this is what we are called to do as Christians.

To live out a mission means cultivating the sentiments that Jesus has, to believe with Him that those around me are also my brothers and sisters. May His love reawaken our hearts and make us all true missionary disciples.
