Aligning to God's Will

Today, we want to talk to you about Aligning our lives with God’s will for us.
‘Thy will be done’ - Matthew 6:10
A writer once shared an experience she had with her dog, it goes like this; “My dog wants a bite of my peanut butter chocolate chip bagel. I know she cannot have this because chocolates make dogs very sick. My dog does not understand this. She pouts and wraps herself around my leg, purrs and tries to convince me to give her just a tiny bit. When I do not give in, she eventually gives up and lays in the corner drooping and sad. I hope the universe has my best interest at heart like I have My dog’s”. - Truth is, sometimes we don’t know what’s good for us or what isn’t. We only like to think we do. Thus, Let God!
Now, a lot of times, we would not understand the when’s or how’s or why’s of God in the immediate because God is not an object of our empirical sense knowledge. Fact is, we don’t have to understand, only trust.
Wanting things to go our way is pretty normal but the problem with what we want is that it’s frequently at odds with what God wants for us.
God’s perspective is always the best and his options, always the most appropriate.
You shouldn’t try to fit God into your already mapped out plan, rather you should fit yourself into God’s already mapped out plan for you.
Now, prayer is what gives us the strength to totally surrender our ways to God. The Bible gives us countless examples of how aligning our will with God’s yields great results. So we need to pray to God to help us want what He wants because we are certain that; what He wants is what’s best for us.
There is true liberty when we let go and let God. Take a chance on God every time.
