BAB Says NO to Abuse Against Women!

All forms of violence are considered an offense against God and against humanity. The Bible is full of condemnations of violence and in fact, violence is associated with wickedness and described as ‘detested by the Lord’ (Psalm 11:5).
In particular, violence against women is condemned and in the Jewish law even, rape was viewed as equivalent to murder ( Deut 22: 25-27)
Rape deeply wounds the respect, freedom, physical and moral integrity to which every person has a right. It does injury to justice and charity and is always an intrinsically evil act.
It is heartbreaking really that this oppression of women in the form of ‘rape’ and all other forms of social injustice is still so much an epidemic as it was in the days of the old testament.
But, we must not stop speaking up. We must not be quiet. We must always raise our voices against injustice.
God is on the side of the oppressed and abused. The Bible clearly expresses God’s desire for a dramatic transformation of society for those who are burdened, marginalized, or unjustly treated.
If you have been raped or sexually assaulted, please know that;
It’s not your fault - the only reason why rape happens is that there are rapists.
You are not alone- God sees you in your pain, grieves with you, and would comfort you (Psalm 9:9).
You are valuable- Your qualification is not ‘a rape victim’ but rather ‘a child of God.’ You are a child of God and He loves you infinitely.
My heart goes out to all those who have been victims of said injustices and those who are simply natural empaths - people who are just so deeply affected by everything going on in the world.
I pray that your heart beats in real peace and true love, that you’re always truly comforted by God, genuinely happy, and reminded that life can be beautiful too.
