Fix your gaze on God

‘You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.’ (Isaiah 26:3)

We live in a busy world that supplies us with endless distractions from our faith, from what our main focus should be, from our goals.

Everyday, it’s a struggle to keep our lives under control. It’s a battle to stay sane in this world. It’s getting harder and harder for us to prioritize what’s important.

We are human & quite frankly, it’s so easy to be very self absorbed. Sometimes, we are just focused on getting through the moment at whatever cost. We are interested in taking the easy way out rather than the better way. We just want convenience and sometimes, we seek that convenience and easiness at the expense of our faith. Other times, we really can’t help ourselves. We just find ourselves slipping and slacking.

Well, congratulations! You are a human being so these things aren’t out of the ordinary but, there’s a divine component to that our ‘being’ and that divinity can only be found in God.

It is that divine component that elevates and fine tunes our human component. The less in tune we are with God, the more susceptible we are to the weaknesses that come from being human, the more exposed we are to these distractions that distort our focus.

Here’s just a subtle reminder that God loves you and He wants you to be fine. So, even in the midst of our most distracting chapters, He wants us to keep Him first because - He knows that everything is easier with Him.
Everything is easier with God.
God never loses sight of us. We can not afford to lose sight of God.
Is it easy, maybe not but it’s easier with God.
Is it worth it, definitely and even more with God.
